Causes of headaches can be many. Fortunately, the cause is usually "mechanical" meaning it has something to do with the bones, muscles and connective tissue. Mechanical problems are our specialty at the Hughes Chiropractic Healthcare SC.
At the heart of mechanical problems is the "Vertebral Subluxation" which is just a $100 word for bones not moving right or out of alignment. When joints between bones get stuck, muscles go tight, the joints wear out and a lot of pain happens along the way.
Getting the joints moving again is NOT as simple as twisting the neck. You have to find the EXACT bones not moving and specifically get them moving again. It takes training and experience to be able to move the right bone in just the right way.
Now that's exactly what I've been doing all my Chiropractic career. As a Palmer graduate, I was taught how to be specific as to what I treated and I was taught how to be gentle. I was also taught not to twist my own neck because it is self-destructive.
